BACKGROUND

Our first reward campaign for PROS holders commenced with the launch of our v1 web app on 31 October 2024. Since then, over 1.3M PROS have been staked thus far.

The web app includes an estimated reward calculation for users who have staked PROS. Even so, over the course of the campaign, we have observed community feedback of users wanting to be able to see estimated rewards, even if they haven’t yet staked.

While the original intent was to provide the estimated reward calculation to stakers only, we understand why the community, especially new holders or potential holders, are asking for this feature.

As such, we present this simple proposal for community decision on whether or not we dedicate some resources to making a simple calculator available for any user.

PROPOSAL

Redirect required development resources to create and deploy a simple reward estimation calculator for the v1 web app that is accessible by any user, including those who are not stakers or perhaps not even PROS holders.

Key parameters include:

• Any user can input a hypothetical amount of PROS that they would be staking
• The simple calculator would then make an estimate on the amount of rewards the user could receive if they staked that amount until the end of the campaign
• Note that the calculation would be a simple estimation based on the user’s staked amount, ceteris paribus. That is, the assumption would be that there would be no changes to the tokens currently staked, other than the user’s hypothetical amount. As such, this would be a rough estimation only and would be subject to change

Should this proposal pass, we would move to implement this feature as soon as reasonably possible. At the same time, conscious of the fact that the first reward campaign is concluding on 28 November 2024, this new feature would likely be ready for the next reward campaign.

Please be reminded that any estimates produced from this new product feature is not a guarantee of reward amount—it merely serves as a reference for community members.
